Experience Rick has almost thirty years of public accounting experience in the fields of auditing, financial accounting and reporting. He has directed the firm’s Internal Audit Division since its inception. The enactment of Sarbanes-Oxley (“SOX”) in 2002 provided a natural extension to the services offered by the Internal Audit Division. During 2004 and 2005, he directed the implementation and coordination of SOX 404 compliance for accelerated and non-accelerated clients. Rick has focused his efforts in the manufacturing; financial services and employee benefit areas during his tenure with the firm. His innate ability to recognize and respond to the practical needs of his clients, along with interpreting and applying the technical standards set by the accounting profession and regulators, has allowed him to meet the needs of the firm’s clientele. Education and Professional Development Rick is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors, and the American and Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants. On-going continuing education is directed to current accounting and reporting requirements, industry specific topics and regulatory compliance. Rick received his BS degree in Accounting from Bloomsburg University. Community Involvement Active in many community organizations, currently he serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Cultural Alliance of York County and the Board of Trustees for York College of Pennsylvania where he is the Chairman of the Finance and Audit Committee. Rick is a past Chairman of the Board of Directors of the York County Heritage Trust, and a Past- President of the Strand Capitol Performing Arts Center and Vice President of the Strand Capitol Foundation. Rick has also served on the Boards of the York County Chamber of Commerce and the York-Adams Area Council, Boy Scouts of America. |
