Kenneth began his career in technology in 1982.  Working for a computer and networking company, he began designing, marketing, installing and supporting IBM computer systems in Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana. 

In 1993, Kenneth joined a large East Texas bank as Data Systems Coordinator where he was responsible for technology. In 1996, he joined another East Texas bank as Senior Operations Officer concentrating on cutting-edge electronic banking technology implementation. 

In 1998, Kenneth joined SN Business Solutions as an Accounting Software Consultant implementing Sage BusinessWorks, QuickBooks and Peachtree accounting systems.  However, Kenneth quickly expanded the firm's IT services into network implementation and other technology services. 

 

Also in 1998, Kenneth was appointed by the U.S. House of Representatives to the 21st Century Workforce Commission.  As a member of the commission, Kenneth participated in a detailed national study of technology issues, helped to prepare a formal report about the results of the study and recommended legislative actions.

 

Kenneth is now the Senior Technical Consultant with SN Business Solutions and leads the design and implementation teams on client projects.  In addition, he is actively involved in day-to-day client support.

Professional and Community Activities

Ken speaks on various areas of technology at local and national technology conferences and other venues.  He recently spoke at the national AICPA Technology Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada on Technology Best Practices and the Pennsylvania UMC Conference.

 

Ken also maintains a popular technology informational web site and blog at www.KenSaxe.com.  He is also the co-host of the Technology Trust podcasts.

Ken is involved in serving the community. He has worked with Convoy of Hope, March of Dimes, Easter Seals, Muscular Dystrophy Association, United Way, Multiple Sclerosis Association, Literacy Council, Keystone Services, Habitat for Humanity, New Life for Girls, York Little League and several other non-profit organizations. He is a currently vice president of the Patterson Grove Association.

 

One of Ken's passions is missions.  He has joined others in several mission trips to Honduras and Jamaica.  Most recently Ken joined a mission team to Biloxi, Mississippi to assist in Hurricane Katrina Relief efforts.  In 2009, Ken is planning on joining mission trips to Galveston, Texas
